Overview Image

DTG's main course offerings cover three broad categories: Energetic Materials/Shooting, Route Development, and Mountaineering.

Energetic Materials/Shooting

This suite of courses delivers realistic, cutting-edge training on topics ranging from Improvised Explosive Device (IED) fundamentals to advanced scenarios that involve multiple simulated threats and operational constraints. While many of our clients do not require weapons training, DTG can provide top-level instruction in tactical shooting techniques. For those units who utilize dynamic breaching during raids or other direct-action missions, DTG offers superior explosive breaching courses taught by former and active duty breachers from the Navy SEAL Teams.

Additionally, DTG offers unique classes that provide specialized knowledge of homemade explosives (HME) and the use of special charges. Although the Special Charges and HME field courses are restricted to qualified Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technicians, we offer HME seminars that are available to all military occupational specialties.

Route Development

Our Route Development courses are designed for those units with unique insertion/extraction needs. From mountains, to snowfields, to deserts, or anything in-between, DTG has customizable training packages that teach how to navigate these conditions using various motorized vehicles. Training routes are planned in Alaska's diverse, untamed wilds. The courses are taught by some of the best riders and guides available and will make military units more versatile in their deployment capabilities. Students will leave these courses as experienced riders capable of conducting field repairs and overcoming adverse conditions.

Mountaineering

Teams from the Army's 10th Mountain Division, Marine Corps' Mountain warfare units, and all Special Forces and Special Warfare units frequently traverse mountainous terrain. DTG has affiliated with the Alaska Mountaineering School (AMS) to provide some of the best mountaineering training in the world. The expedition guides/instructors at AMS are experts in mountain safety and preeminent climbers with an incredible amount of experience teaching others how to safely travel some of the most challenging terrain on the planet. The courses vary in length and intensity, and they will take students from basic-level climbing all the way through to guide-level experience in the mountains of Denali National Park and Preserve

Regardless of your needs, you will get all you need and more through DTG.
