Law Enforcement Courses Available
Combating violent perpetrators and acts of terrorism presents unique challenges when working within the confines of a peaceful society. While no single tool, technique, or procedure eliminates all risk or collateral damage, that risk is minimized by decreasing response times and training officers to identify and properly react to threats.
In several recent instances, perpetrators have used actual or hoax Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) to delay or thwart law enforcement efforts. Furthermore, active gunman scenarios are often complicated by real or hoax IEDs. Alarmingly, many law enforcement agencies rely on outdated tools, techniques, and procedures to combat these modern threats. DTG's programs are specifically designed to increase effectiveness while staying within current manning and resource levels.
To deliver the most effective training packages, DTG structures its courses under two main categories. The first category is intended for EOD or bomb squad officers. These courses combine a solid foundation of theory and awareness with hands-on exercises. Practical exercises cover a range of topics uniquely tailored to enable bomb squad officers to function conventionally or as part of a tactical assault team. The second category of courses is designed to teach all non-EOD/bomb squad officers electrical component theory and explosives fundamentals. Additionally, officers in this category will hone their awareness and recognition skills in exercises that simulate actual street conditions.
Whether you represent a large metropolitan agency or a smaller hometown department, DTG's custom-tailored training packages maximize your resources so you can protect our communities.
